Background
I've always been drawn to building things and solving problems. I wrote my first computer program at 11, took my first college course at 16, and started my first business at 23. I earned a degree in Philosophy and a Master's in Sociology with a focus on social statistics—a combination that taught me to think critically and work with data. That pattern—learning, building, applying—has defined my career ever since.
Building Businesses
My professional career began in real estate research. I built the Research & Project Planning Department for WoodSpring Suites, working alongside founder Jack DeBoer, then served as the real estate analyst for Wichita State University's Center for Real Estate.
That research foundation led me into development. I created an automated project planning methodology and used it to build multifamily housing projects, including a 216-unit apartment complex. I launched a property management company, expanded into design-build services, and eventually sold my real estate investments in 2019 to focus on new opportunities.
Community Leadership
Throughout my business career, I maintained a parallel commitment to community work. I led the Kansas Rural Housing Coalition and volunteered to create housing studies for every city and county in Kansas—an automated process that generated over 700 reports totaling more than 60,000 pages.
I served as President of Old Town, Wichita's downtown entertainment district, where I worked with the Police Chief, Sheriff, and District Attorney on public safety initiatives. In 2016, I founded a public-private partnership with Sedgwick County to support COMCARE, the region's largest mental health and substance abuse program.
In 2019, I founded the Civic Health Coalition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on using technology to address social challenges.
The Ai Transition
Self-isolation during the COVID pandemic in 2020 gave me unexpected time to study. I spent the year studying science and technology, and became convinced that artificial intelligence was about to reshape the world. In 2022, I moved to Silicon Valley to focus full-time on Ai, and I have been focused ever since on learning everything about it—not just what Ai can do, but how it works.
In 2024, I partnered with my son and daughter to launch Insource Ai Inc. We focused on applied Ai R&D, and we learned how to use Ai to build Ai, which resulted in a system that fully automated software development. That capability allowed us to build complete Ai-powered platforms in days rather than months. We now partner with professionals and businesses to turn their expertise into scalable technology through profit-sharing arrangements—no upfront costs, no technical work required from our partners.
